The International Aerial Robotics Competition (IARC), Is a student challenge designed to exceed present technological abilities. The challenge beginning in 1991 with mission 1, Has been to invent and innovate beyond the capability owned or operated by any company, military or nation. In the mission itself, its rules are arranged to inspire solutions for students who lack infinite defense budgets and large corporate development teams. The end goal of the competitions is to reduce cost and speed the entry of new technology into the human society, for new and useful purposes. After all, Cell phones were unimaginable just a century ago.
