Lift off of Away 12x on its way to 73,000 feet, the bouquet of flowers dangling from below.

 

On August 12, 2017 as a volunteer I assisted JP Aerospace in 3 near space balloon flights. Flights 124, 125 and 126 were all flown on a Saturday at our clandestine Nevada launch site. These particular flights were paid for by a Japanese botanical art group which takes high quality pictures and video of flowers arranges colorful flowers to be taken up as a payload. At JP Aerospace we do put some scientific instruments on board, but its minimal due to the fact that the customer is paying for the whole flight and its support.
