Micro Pulse Jet Project.
Micro Pulse Jets are being re-investigated and after decades of little attention there is now growing interest in their use for micro and mini drones. At GreenBOT Dynamics we think we may have solved some key problems which have plagued this technology since 1917. (Only the general design is visible in this graphic, the IP sensitive parts and prototype are not posted.) The business model and theory is to sell these small pulse jets at 10-15% the cost of a similar thrust gas turbine which is typically 4-8k USD. Using modern fabrication techniques and electronics these jets can be manufactured cheaper and faster like Ink Jet cartridges or hot dogs. Traditional turbines with many precision moving parts can’t compete in this market place.
Sierra College is an institution we are particularly close to. We believe strong ties between industry and academia are essential in this new era and mechatronics in particular will rise in significance in the coming decades.
